Oat and Yogurt Bread

Are you a lover of bread but want a healthier swap? Fear not, why not try out our Nutritionists yogurt and oat bread which can also be made, dairy free!

Ingredients:

500g Natural Yogurt (use soy yogurt for a dairy free version)

1 Egg beaten

1 Tablespoon of Treacle (optional)

300g Oats

2tsp bread soda

2 Tablespoons of pumpkin seeds

half Teaspoon of salt

Method:

1. Place yogurt, beaten egg, and treacle in a bowl and mix well

2. Mix oats, bread soda, seeds and salt in a separate bowl, add the the yogurt mix and stir thoroughly

3. Place in a greased or parchment lined 2lb loaf tin, sprinkle with oats and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes

4. Lower temp to 150 degrees and cook for a further 30 minutes
