Summer Pop Swaps

Summer is here and so is ice lolly season! But remember not all ice pops are created equal! Store bought treats tend to have a lot of unwanted added sugars, which in turn can mean unwanted empty calories, preservatives, additives and colouring’s. This can be the last thing you want when you are trying to prepare for a holiday, festival, wedding or just your general health. Why not try out our “do it yourself” Popsicle’s with any of these healthy and delicious recipes!

1.Watermelon Frozen Yogurt Popsicle’s

This recipes will make about 6 Popsicle’s if you have more little or big mouths to please simply up the quantity


1 and a half cups of watermelon de-seeded

3/4 cup fat free thick Greek yogurt

Sweetener: stevia/honey


Puree watermelon in a food processor, strain with a fine mesh sieve into a bowl

Add strained watermelon juice back into the blender. Add yogurt. Blend well. Add sweetener to taste.


2.Fruityliscious Popsicle’s

Super easy and super delicious these fruit Popsicle’s will be a sure crowd pleaser! This recipe can make 6 ice lolly’s


2 cups fresh orange juice (500 millilitres)

½ cup blueberries (70 grams)

8-10 strawberries


Place the blueberries and sliced strawberries in the moulds and pour enough juice into each mould to just cover fruit. Freeze until solid (at least for 4 hours)
